What were you trying to do and how can we improve it?

look up the contributions of a particular individual. This should be easier than it is. First I entered the last name only; it didn't use the filter at all. I repeated the name, and this time it applied it, resulting in about 600 hits. Then I refined the search term to include first name (lastname, firstname). It ignored the first name and gave me the same results as with just the last.

General feedback?

It's very confusing. Hard to tell if it's applying the filter you want. Hard to tell whether it's still searching or not. And the date fields are VERY confusing. There should be only two date fields: start date and end date. Instead, there is a third, Report Time Period, and I have no idea what it means.
