<h1>Privacy Policy</h1>
<p class="meta"><strong>MySQL Manager</strong> · Last updated: August 28, 2026</p>
</header>
<p>
Codeman Academy ("we," "us," or "our") provides the MySQL Manager Android
application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App
processes, why it is processed, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
</p>
<p class="summary">
<strong>Summary:</strong> We do not collect, sell, share, or use your personal data for
advertising or analytics. The App stores its settings and database connection details
locally on your device and connects directly to database servers that you configure.
</p>
<h2>1. Information processed by the App</h2>
<p>To provide its database-management features, the App may process the following information:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Database connection details:</strong> a connection name, host or IP address, port, database name, username, password, SSL/TLS preference, and timeout setting that you enter.</li>
<li><strong>Database content:</strong> schemas, table names, column information, query results, and other database content requested or modified through the App.</li>
<li><strong>SQL workspace data:</strong> SQL statements, editor tabs, query history, favorites, execution times, status, and database error messages.</li>
<li><strong>Local server data:</strong> databases created in the App's embedded MariaDB-compatible server and the credentials you configure for that server.</li>
<li><strong>Files you choose:</strong> SQL files opened, saved, backed up, or restored through Android's system file picker.</li>
<li><strong>App preferences:</strong> settings such as your theme preference.</li>
</ul>
<p>
This information is processed to perform actions you request. It is not transmitted to
Codeman Academy. The App does not require a Codeman Academy account and does not include
advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting services.
</p>
<h2>2. Network connections and remote databases</h2>
<p>
The App uses internet and network-state access so it can connect directly from your device
to a MySQL-compatible server you specify. Connection credentials, SQL statements, and
database results are exchanged with that server as necessary to perform your requests.
The operator of a remote database server may independently log or process this traffic
under its own policies. Codeman Academy does not control those servers.
</p>
<p>
You can enable SSL/TLS for a saved connection. If you connect without SSL/TLS, information
exchanged with that database server, including credentials and database content, may travel
over the network without transport encryption. Use SSL/TLS and connect only to servers you trust.
</p>
<h2>3. Storage and security</h2>
<p>
App settings, connection profiles, editor content, and query history are stored in the App's
private storage on your device. Saved database passwords and local-server passwords are
encrypted using AES-GCM with a key managed by Android Keystore. Android backup is disabled
for the App. SQL backup files and SQL files are stored only in a location you select through
the Android system file picker.
</p>
<p>
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the App's local-storage design. However, no
device, storage method, or network transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device, database accounts, and exported files.
</p>
<h2>4. Sharing and disclosure</h2>
<p>
We do not receive or share the information processed locally by the App. The App discloses
information only to a database server you direct it to connect to, or to a file location you
select when opening, saving, backing up, or restoring a SQL file. We do not sell personal data.
</p>
<h2>5. Data retention and deletion</h2>
<p>
Locally saved data remains on your device until you delete the relevant connection or history,
clear the App's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the App. Files exported outside the
App remain in the location you selected until you delete them. Data stored on a remote database
server is controlled by you or that server's operator and is not deleted by uninstalling the App.
</p>
<h2>6. Permissions</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Internet:</strong> connects to database servers that you configure.</li>
<li><strong>Network state:</strong> determines whether network connectivity is available.</li>
</ul>
<p>
File access is provided through Android's system file picker, which lets you choose the specific
file or destination the App may access.
</p>
<h2>7. Children's privacy</h2>
<p>
The App is a database administration tool intended for a general audience and is not directed
to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because
we do not operate a service that receives App data, requests concerning content on a configured
database should also be directed to that database's operator.
</p>
<h2>8. Your choices</h2>
<p>
You control the information entered into the App, the servers it connects to, whether SSL/TLS
is enabled, and the files it accesses. You can remove locally stored App data using the deletion
methods described above. Since Codeman Academy does not receive this local data, we cannot access,
export, or delete it on your behalf.
</p>
<h2>9. Changes to this Privacy Policy</h2>
<p>
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App or applicable requirements.
The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material
changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice where required.
</p>
