Status of CRA as a Facebook Product?

Hello. I had some difficulty setting of CRA (especially v4) and had to resort to CRACO for multiple fixes. Having significant amount of configuration files and using two tools for building React makes it a bit hard to recommend to adapt to my constituents. Thus I have a couple of questions.

From my understanding, CRA is a Facebook product for easy React application development.

Does Facebook still recommend this bundler as the official starting point for react?
Does Facebook dev team use this project to create react apps?
What is the status of this project? (There are no dates for Projects or Milestones)
