Payout Object Does Not Contain A Status Variable

The Payouts Object, is currently -

Based on the documentation found in https://docs.etherisc.com/gif/gif-monitor, the Payout Object should have a status field, which additionally can be updated between possible payout states: Possible payout states are ‘Expected’ and ‘PaidOut.’

The GIF frameworks provides low level templates to create product contracts that deal with claim and policy handling. The crop contract packages these functions into the functions processPolicy() and processPoliciesForRisk() [1].

These functions then rely on the internal functions _processPolicy() and _handlePayout() as you can see from the implementation of the internal functions it is _handlePayout() that is responsible for submitting/confirming a claim and creating the corresponding payout.

The actual handling/setting of object states is implemented in the parent Product [2] contract which is delegating the actions to the corresponding GIF services.

Long story short, the GIF services take care of all operations over all GIF objects (including policies, claims and payouts) which include the consistent management of the state of all obects.
