This issue is a collection of searches that do not yield the results expected:

"Documentation type" is broken in erlang.org search for example https://www.erlang.org/doc/search?q=ssl

Also it's hard to find the ssl module to begin with. Modules or applications matching exactly should probably show up first. Maybe even doc file names (erl_ext_dist comes to mind).

Should be fixed now. The HTML layout changed a bit when I merged erlang/otp#5292 and I had forgotten to update the crawler.

Should be better now that the "Documentation Type" is fixed. I don't know how do make the index promote exact matches over partial matches, but I feel there should be a way...

Maybe even doc file names (erl_ext_dist comes to mind).

Adding the last component of the URI as a searchable term is a good idea.
