Room created via Start DM flow not marked as DM

Steps to reproduce

1. Start the usual process of clicking the ➕ on the People list to create a DM with someone.
2. Send a message into the room to start the conversation.
3. The room isn't marked as a DM, even when the other user joins

The room appears in the People list.

The room appears in the Room list.

I've noticed today that the room is now in my People list. So Element has somehow discovered the DM after the fact.
