Right-click UI for managing rooms

Your use case

Convert to DM / room should be available as an option when you right click the chat. Also, the option to move a room to a Space should be available when you right click the room. Now you can only add a room to a space by rightclicking the Space.

Converting between DM/room used to be in Riot. It was removed likely to prevent over complicating the UI so I doubt they'll re-add it. You can still manage your DM rooms using devtools under Explore Account Data.

/converttoDM and /converttoroom works, but that's a much more complicated UI. An "Manage room" option besides "Favorite", "Settings" and "Leave" when you right click, with nested options "Convert to ..." and "Move to Space" wouldn't exactly clutter the UI. Now you have to be super-user to understand how to convert a room or move a room to a Space.

Another option would be to have "Manage room"-options in the right info-panel. That's a bit more hidden, but still more available than commandline.

I'm surprised the /commands even exist. The design language as of late seems to suggest they'd rather have it 100% automatically managed by the client and not even give control at all.

It can't be automatically managed all the time, so an UI is needed. If one should use Element for a lot of purposes, one need to have some way of organising conversations and there should be an obvious UI for how.

Though, for automation it would be better if conversations always started as DMs unless you named the room. Now I have to move conversations to DMs all the time.

An option to add a conversation to a space when it starts would also be good. A pop-up with "Add this conversation to a [Space]" if both are members of the same space would be nice.

For me the issue is that inexperienced users (which is more than half of people I communicate with on Element) starts conversations outside the space that they should be in. The current UI for moving these conversations is very hard to non-intutive..
