Namespace Textures for icons

Is it possible to get namespaced textures for icons? E.g. minecraft:wand or my_namespace:texture?
If not, will this be added?

Do you mean in the resource pack? All of the textures and models in the RP are in a magic: namespace already.

I mean in custom texturepacks, so if my namespace is 'space' for example in my texturepack how can I reference that?

Yes, you can use your own textures and models for wands. But you need to assign your model to a vanilla minecraft item using CustomModelData in your resource pack as well.

Then you can configure a wand to use that model with a line like

icon: stick{12345}

Where 12345 is the custom model data value you used.

We're not using the custom model data but the new item model namespace

So

space:fish

While space is the namespace and fish would be the model

I'm not sure if Spigot supports non-numeric CMD yet. I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about though- could you please share an example model from your RP? Just the predicate part is fine.
