Title should be self-explanatory:

While skipping the text should appear instantly, without the "type-writer" letter-by-letter effect. This is the skip behaviour in most VN's.

This may already be fixed in the development branch. To make sure we're talking about the same problem: this happens only in rlBabel patched games, not in the original Japanese versions, right?

Yeah, I only played english-patched Tomoyo After for now.
Do you have a ppa for developement versions for Ubuntu? I'd like to test this.
