Describe the bug.

On RHEL 9.5, it took several seconds (~ 5-6 seconds) to provide .NET version after run the command: .NET Install Tool - Install the .NET SDK System-Wide. ~

Reproduction Steps

  1. On RHEL 9.5 , run the command: .NET Install Tool - Install the .NET SDK System-Wide.
  2. Observe the time when the version was provided

Expected Behavior

It should took 1-2 seconds to provide the version as on Windows, Mac and Ubuntu 24.04

Exceptions & Errors (if any)

Interesting, this may be due to the increased time to lookup or download dotnet packages that are available on RHEL so Im not sure what we can do here. I think this is important feedback to have, so thank you. Might investigate this but probably not for a while as the number of RHEL users is quite low at this time, as long as it is functional in this instance I think it's OK.
