If #186/#187 could get in there I'd appreciate it. Also any interest bumping underscore compatibility to

1.6 <= x <= 1.7 (or however thats written)

+1 for getting underscore to 1.7

I'm happy to make the version the range of 1.6.x. I'm a little hesitant to move to 1.7.x in this release, though, given the compatibility issues with 1.7.0, and the possibility of more breaking changes in 1.7.1 (reverting the problems with 1.7.0).

FYI, the problem fixed by #183 is a blocker for releasing 0.4.0. Adding it to the checklist above.

This version got delayed by a couple of years and we'll do a bit more dusting off before releasing. See #220 for updated plans.
