Disabling smartypants

I configured (cf. https://docsify.js.org/#/markdown):

      markdown: {
        smartypants: false
      }

but "" are still converted to “”.

So how do I disable "smart" pants? Is a renderer block required? If yes how do I create a dummy one.

Hi @noraj , could you plz provide a sample for us to reproduce it ?
By default, the smartypants is false already. and I don't see the "" has been rendered to “” in my local test.

Also yeah I read in marked documentation that smartypants should be false by default but I thought then that docsify was enabling it by default.

I do use the same version as you mentioned and docsify does not enable this smartypants. The markdown sample in my side is rendered like this.

As per the index.html details (I can not copy it easily since those resources are not public available), I guess maybe some plugins cause this issue. Maybe you could try to remove them and add back sequently to check it.

All plugins loaded in index.html are publicly available (except docsify-plugin-ignore-blockquote-titles-sidebar), it's just that rather than using online CDN, I installed the npm packages mentioned on package.json for offline use and copy them to vendor/ with gulp.

Seems that docsify-themeable enables it by default if not defined, but it should be the case since I implicitly disabled it through markdown.smartypants.
