permission denied

App started showing a folder selection dialog. I attempt to select or create a folder. Always get "For security reasons, you must select the folder where are the KML and ROM files, please". It will never go further than folder selection. Uninstall/reinstall does not help. I'm sorry to open a whole github issue for a user problem...I looked for as many docs as I could, did some web searching, even tried AI. I can't find a solution for this. This is a stock unrooted Android 13. App worked for years. I did something with Syncthing recently before this problem came up, but I forget what. Happy to try anything out.

Had the same issue. Solved by uninstalling, installing previous version APK then upgrading

I'm not able to reproduce.
How did you create the calculator before this happened, please?
Is it with the embedded calc or with an external KML file?
If it is with an external KML file, is there the ROM file beside the KML file?

Same issue here. I'm running stock / unrooted Android 15 on a Pixel 7 Pro with the April 5th Security update and April 1st Play System update.

The specific messages are:
"Permission Denied
For security reason, you must select the folder where are the KML and ROM files, please."

and a system level message of:
"Permission issue: No persistable permission grants found for UID 10..."

(with no way to see the rest of the 2nd message)

The first message has a set of CANCEL / OK buttons. Pressing OK generates a file browser to select a folder where the files are located but even placing the KML and ROM in the Downloads folder causes the same exact message to reappear.

Rollback to the 2.7 build from June of 2024 fixed the issue.
