Error upon using "Open with meld diff (git scm)"

The same diff works fine using the built-in vscode diff tool, or manually using meld.

Can you please give me more information than this screenshot? What is the task you do (what meld diff option in what scenario)? about your workflow. What exactly are you doing? What environment you are using (OS, VSCode version, ...)?

OS: Windows 11 Build 22624.1470
VSCode: 1.76.2

My workflow is simply right clicking a changed file in the source control view and clicking "Open with meld diff (git scm)". This will invariably result in meld opening the current version of the file on the right, but the old (committed) version will instead have the error shown in the screenshot.

Unfortunately I can't reproduce this error on my side with the same setup (Windows 11, VSCode 1.76.2).

Can you please check if the function 'Compare with Clipboard using meld' inside any Document is working? This function also creates temporary files. I guess there is a problem creating this temporary file that meld doesn't find or a problem with the communication between git and the plugin.

Do you use a standard windows installation of git? And what version of git?
