Please agree to the following

Summary

Support for Synology Drive cryptomator usage

Motivation

People who doesn't trust online clouds and buys and build own server instead (e.g.: Synology NAS), can use Synology Drive to sync his data between devices in a secure way. It would be ideal to have another level security with cryptomator.

Considered Alternatives

Tried many other apps and other ways, but not found one.

Anything else?

Hi @ajvenc
have you tried to connect to your Synology NAS via WebDAV? Cryptomator already supports WebDAV connections so this could be one way to connect.

Hi @phil1995,

Yes I have tried, but WebDAV not supports two factor authentication and I would rather not open webdav port to the internet, it is a security risk.

Over VPN is rather unconfortable, because depending on the celluar or wifi signal strength vpn drops connection and not always connects back successfully.

Synology Drive would be ideal because:

  • It supports two factor authentication.
  • It can be synced as offline file to the device and then the synology drive syncs that offline file(s) between your NAS and the device. This way it gives support to reach your files while you have zero signal and syncs them when got back online.

Hi,

Is there any chance someone give support to this?
