Blog post for the new Quadlet CLI #26849
-
Hi, May I ask the dev team to write up a blog post announcing and explaining the newly introduced Quadlet CLI, please? Ideally, to explain it at a level that corresponds to someone who is using Docker Compose, has seen Quadlets in passing before but never tried them because of all the extra needed knowledge about systemd and is interested to have another look at Quadlets now that they are better supported in Podman. It would help if a non-trivial Docker Compose file is migrated to a Quadlet pod as an example while demonstrating best practices. The 3rd-party blog posts I have seen so far either mention only the existence of each new command and a short description or show how to create containers/pods using Quadlets from scratch, which does not help much someone who has been using Docker Compose for many years as those guides don't provide a sufficient food for thought and guidance to someone contemplating a move from a non-trivial Docker Compose setup (i.e. with many compose files, each with multiple containers) to Podman+Quadlet. Thanks, |

Does the one from Friday qualify? https://blog.podman.io/2025/08/level-up-your-container-game-unified-quadlet-management-is-now-natively-in-podman/ |
