question about 000488 with 2pe data

https://github.com/bids-dandisets/000488 contains 2photon imaging data, not sure if any ecephys. But we did get ecephys https://github.com/bids-dandisets/000488/tree/draft/sub-416366/ses-768476976/ecephys .

Is that expected? may be I missed some ecephys?

And given BEP32 only allows 'ecephys' main heading ATM we sneak it in under that

Indeed if .nwb were to be allowed for ophys (future BEP no doubt) then it would be classified as such based on the 'bulk' content

Alternatively I suppose we could always dump the events data under behavior, but that is not how BEP32 is currently written (also other OpenNeuro datasets I've seen for fMRI include the events adjacent to the main modality)

if just "events" and no other known data acquisition modality, we should stick it into beh/. ref: https://bids-specification.readthedocs.io/en/stable/modality-specific-files/behavioral-experiments.html . If any data modality found -- into the one corresponding to that modality. We should imho use micr/ for 2P since includes 2PE ATM: https://bids-specification.readthedocs.io/en/stable/modality-specific-files/microscopy.html but overall more related discussion:

FWIW -- for now let's use _2PE suffix, but @just-meng suggests that we might want to have it just _2P or even even smth else to reflect that there is also voltage based imaging now... more hopefully would follow in bids-standard/bids-specification#2173 (comment)

FWIW -- for now let's use _2PE suffix,

I will use the generic _ophys suffix to match the current ecephys/icephys pattern and not make any assumptions. There's a lot of 1P data on DANDI (some of it 'light sheet', which really shouldn't be referred to in the same was as 1P technically). 3P also exists. And yes, voltage imaging too. Also light beads.

I will also include a warning/notification that nwb2bids will in this case produce invalid BIDS datasets, even accordin to BEP32, and that future BEPS are planned to make it OK.
