Subsequent to #950, we intend to revise the process for producing a TAG Security whitepaper. Discussion is still ongoing about what improvements are needed or how the revision process will be executed.

Interested to assist where I can, I was involved in the original paper process development that we produced as part of the initial Cloud Native Security whitepaper.

With the completion of the Zero Trust and Supply Chain v2 Whitepapers, we should revisit this discussion after Kubecon.

When ready to revisit, i would suggest looking at a recent iteration of TAG Security's that was adapted to provide guidance to all TAGs and Working Groups: https://github.com/cncf/toc/blob/main/tags/resources/toc-supporting-guides/tech-papers.md

As a consumer of the current templates from initiative inception (#1426) I believe there is value.

We should close gaps with regard to accessibility of the templates (preferably in git) and when/how to get STAG leadership involved. Including linking to reference materials in the proposals issue template.
