OpenSSF Gold: small_tasks
Gold requires the project to clearly identify small tasks that can be performed by new or casual contributors.
Acceptance criteria
- At least 2 open issues are tagged
good first issue at any given time.
- The README or CONTRIBUTING.md links to the
good first issue filter.
- CONTRIBUTING.md mentions the
good first issue label as the starting point for new contributors.
Notes
- This is an ongoing practice, not a one-time fix.
- Existing triaged issues can be retroactively labelled if appropriate.
- Add the following line to CONTRIBUTING.md under the "Getting Started" or equivalent section:
New to the project? Look for issues tagged good first issue.
