I don't think IMC will solve all of these issues. At least not immediately.

If it's anything to do with IPC which is already well established for inter-instance communication, why do you think IMC is unsuitable?
I don't have many details on IMC, maybe you do?

I have the same question.

I don't think IMC will solve for horizontal scalling. I might be wrong but IMC handles cases such as:

1. You have a player module
2. You have a raid module
3. the raid module can call a reducer on the player module.

For horizontal scalling, the question is what happens when the player module is trying to serve too many clients? Besides throwing more memory/cpu at it, can you spin up a second module to handle say half of the traffic? Or maybe handle traffic sharded per client's location.

I have the same questions: can you shard modules, create clusters and overall horizontally scale
