The configuration files of both sps2db and db2sps accept strings with various purposes. These strings can become arbitrarily large (e.g., when giving a query, or a path to a spreadsheet file) and some editors (emacs for sure!) might automatically break these lines. This is troublesome to say the least. While the editor is doing the right thing (so that one can see the whole string easily) the current parsers do not follow multi-line strings.
It is then necessary to parse multi-line strings where both \n and \r must be removed.
