I'm experiencing a challenging issue with a Windows Server 2022 and Windows 10 client setup. While I can locate the network-shared printer on the client, I consistently face error 283 when trying to add it to the Windows 10 client system.
Here's a brief overview of my situation:
The printer is successfully shared on the Windows Server 2022.
The Windows 10 client can find the printer on the network.
However, every attempt to add this network-shared printer to the client results in error code 283.
I have tried the following:
Ensuring both server and client systems are fully updated.
Adjusting Group Policy settings to allow third-party printer drivers.
Running installations and additions with administrative rights.
Checking for any network connectivity or firewall issues.
My setup involves the server being part of a domain, with the client computers connected to this domain. The issue seems to be specific to the client-side when adding the shared printer.
Any advice, experiences, or suggestions from the community would be highly appreciated. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, or does anyone know how to resolve this specific error?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
[Maskeperro]
