Most laptops have screens somewhere between 13" and 15.4". Search contacts to get a list on such a device and with Shoreditch you'll get somewhere 2 and 5 contacts on the screen before you have to scroll - versus 13 contacts with the regular Civi. See this

Hi @clarkac1 Thanks for your feedback. It’s something we are looking into. One potential solution we have in mind a allowing users to choose between a spaced out and a more condensed view of pages (much like Gmail’s Comfortable, Cosy and Compact views), enabling users to get more on screen when space is at a premium. Is this something that would be useful for your users? If it would be of use and if we were to make this part of a ‘Make it Happen’ campaign would you consider helping to fund this feature?
