Is there an idiomatic way in Chisel to display enum as ascii in .vcd files?

I wanted to have an ASCII signal for a state enum, but didn't find an existing way to do this in Chisel, so I implemented the below.

I seem to recall that there is a simpler more idiomatic way to do this in Chisel...
