How to fix timeout on POST?

I have a very basic implementation of this

const proxy = (target) => {
  return createProxyMiddleware({
    target,
    changeOrigin: true,
    logLevel: 'debug',
  });
};

app.use('/compliance', proxy(process.env.COMPLIANCE_SERVICE));

This works fine with a GET endpoint
However, POST endpoints are timing out

Is there something else that's needed for a POST to work?

I believe this was impacted by another middleware. It was solved when I moved the app.use up
