Hi CF community,

I'm posting this here since we don't have a traditional mailing list.

Since I'm somewhat active here and promised a bunch of stuff at the workshop:

• BCP 14 Adopting BCP 14 (RFC 2119, RFC 8174) requirement levels in CF #258
• Trying out github discussions (I forget where this issue is)
• Working on the localization Localized metadata in NetCDF files #244

I wanted to give an update on my availability to work on these things for the next few months. I will be on the RV Palmer and operating in a remote area near antarctica for the new 2 months or so. I have been warned several times that our internet connection will not be good enough to do much of anything for a significant portion of our time. So this will be a real "off grid" situation.

So just making this public so that everyone doesn't think I've disappeared.
