Once we have a stable working version of v4 of celestia-app with v52 of cosmos sdk, we should replace the simapp binary we are currently using in this demo with that.

With that change we should be able to remove the simapp-validator from the docker compose and route the celestia-validator to the celestia-prover process and other services that depend on it

Additionally we should be able to use the header module now which saves all the header hashes and needs to be provided as part of the public inputs

To update this issue after some considerable changes to dependencies:

  • celestia-app v4 will use Cosmos SDK v0.50.x
  • ibc-go v10 will include IBC Eureka
  • Binary Builders had to restart the cosmos-sdk bump in celestia-app because they were previously targeting v0.52.x but now they're targeting v0.50.x.
  • We assume ibc-go v10 is compatible with cosmos-sdk v0.50.x (see Slack).

This will remain blocked until we have a celestia-app release that supports IBC Eureka which won't be celestia-app v4.
