Description
The "Spam" button stops working on an active email when that email is removed from the current message list view (for instance, when the "Unread" filter is active and the email transitions from unread to read).
Somehow, it feels like the Spam button might be conditioned on the context of the email selection. I encountered a similar behavior where I was on an email that contextually wasn't in the list anymore, and I could no longer mark it as spam.
Steps to Reproduce
- Enable the "Unread" filter on the message list.
- Click on an unread email to open it.
- Wait for the email to transition to "Read" status.
- Notice that the email disappears from the "Unread" list view.
- Click the Spam button while the email details are still open.
Expected Behavior
The Spam action should ideally remain functional while the email details view is open, even if the email has been filtered out of the background list view.
View closing. Mail moved to spam.
Actual Behavior
The Spam button fails to execute the action and nothing happens.
The email stays open but cannot be marked as spam because it is no longer contextually present in the background list selection.
View not closing. Mail not moved to spam.
Note: If an "unread to read" delay is configured, the Spam button works fine during that entire time window as long as the email remains unread.
