Calculated Dimensions

Hi Brian,

I explore your extension and it works great ! But I need calculated or conditional dimension as if getselectedCount(Region) > 0 then, get RegionCoordinates else Unit/Brand coordinates. Actually I want drill down analysis like Region to Brands. I will draw polygon for regions and I will point brands under the regions. I'm waiting your suggestions...

You can do calculated dimensions in extensions if you just click the dimension dropdown and, rather than selecting a dimension, type in the calculated dimension expression. Give that a try.

Hi Brian Thanks for quick replay, but I can't solve calculated dimension issue. I tried in dimension as ;

=if(getselectedcount(Region)> 0, RegionCoordinates, BrandCoordinates)

It is show nothing. Do you know where is the mistake? I just want to conditional coordinates.

Can u give a sample about calculated dimensions? I can't do drill down analysis that reason of table loops. Because region has own coordinates that multiple coordinate values for drawing part of region and brands have own coordinates as a point. Tables like that;

Region:
Load
CoordinatesID1,
RegionName,
RegionID

Brands:
CoordinatesID2,
BrandName,
RegionID,
Sales,
Quantity

Coordinates:
CoordinateID1,
CoordinateID2,
Coordinates

This structure is cause a loop, I know.Soluiton is mapping coordinates to each table with different names as RegionCoordinates and BrandCoordinates.

I want to anlysis via calculated dimension; if Region is selected then show brands.I'm waiting advance.
