This looks excellent. I have for some time wanted to add the following features to canvas:

• An extra button on the popup-menu to open the note in the hover editor (if the plugin is active and it is a note). I know this is in the context menu already but it's a pain to right-click and then scan the ever growing list to find the option. Having it on the popup-menu would be much simpler.

• The ability to right click on a header (or maybe even block) inside a note and create a new note next to the original that was narrowed to that heading (or maybe even block)

How hard would these be to add ?
