<p>FRBs and their local environments.</p>

<p>Fast radio bursts (FRBs)are short-duration radio pulses
from extragalactic sources that we don't yet understand.
While the leading theory is a magnetar progenitor, the jury
is not out! </p>
</div>

<p>One of the ways we can learn more about FRBs is through
studying their host galaxies. Once we know where in the sky
an FRB came from, we can associate it to a host galaxy and
analyze the images and spectra of the host. This tells us
what comprises the galaxy the FRB game from.</p>

<p>FRB host galaxy SED modeling.</p>

<p>I will be/currently do SED modeling on host galaxies for FRBs localized by CHIME.</p>

<p>An exploratory path.</p>
</header>
<p>I actually started in condensed matter and thus carry experience in quantum
computing and 2D heterostructure transistors.
My first astronomy research experience had me stitching Keck HIRES spectra and
measuring element abundances for stars in globular cluster M15.
In my senior year of undergrad, I did statistical calculations for a Zooniverse
project on macroscopic dark matter detection.</p>
