Resource & Unit Sharing Roadmap: The Why
The current sharing system suffers from two extremes that don't match how players actually want to play:
Current Problems
-
All-or-nothing sharing restrictions: When enabled, these prevent essential team cooperation. Taxation hampers T2 tech progression, frustrating players who rely on role specialization (like having one player focus on tech).
-
Informal workarounds: In "OP lobbies," players use unreliable handshake agreements and lobby names to enforce "no commie" game play (commonly understood as "no boosting except for T2 constructors"). These informal rules are frequently misunderstood or broken.
Proposed "No Commie" Defaults
- you can still transfer t2 constructors
- you can still send tech (or anyone) up to 440 metal
- resource sharing tax of 40% (0.4)
- disable assist ally construction
- unit market disabled (until performance problems are sorted out)

Tasks
Phase 1
Introduce options to match community expectations:
Phase 2
Community experimentation period with new options. Investigate unit market performance.
Phase 3
Respond to community experimentation:
