Make it easier to clear entire text from editboxes

Currently in order to clear text from editboxes you have to drag + select the whole text + backspace or hold down backspace for a while.

This is what inspired the mockup above, but I think this could be done better because the above mockup takes up space in the edit box. In other interfaces it seems like the standard for dealing with this is giving the user the ability to click or double click to select the entire text and then you can press backspace to delete it all. With the chobby editbox clicking the text only moves the carat around.

Looks very good! Some games also use right click to quickly clear a field. For completeness, CTRL+backspace is already available to erase words quickly.

While it sounds nice, typical bindings such as "ctrl + a; backspace" does the same thing and more quickly. Unsure if we need to add additional UI elements for something like a text field.

i find the text boxes are ganky to work with. lets say in a lobby chat i misspelled something in a command (i dunno, !maxratinglevel 2), where I meant 20

I hit up arrow to grab the last issued chat, and it places the cursor at the FRONT of the text. This doesn't make sense, the cursor should be at the END of the text - just like every other text box you use on a normal basis for other programs
