just making an issue to keep myself subscribed to progress.

one feature i'm looking for is parallel compression, since i'm working on a project where i'm async-ly downloading multiple jsons in parallel, and i want to stuff them into zip file.

Idk if anybody is making any implementations on the write side but I might consider working on it in a few months for my own use cases (at least with the hope it'll be more robust than some other Rust library implementations and that I feel like it)

I dropped this due to time constraints but as a prereq, we prob need to firm up the writing API (i.e. structs/enums/traits to expose) first.

Sans IO but specifically, for me, I do not want a zip library to constrain the async IO primitives and runtime I'd have to use. It's still missing many things though but at least the mission is there?
