ReOpening Bazaar, after having close it, does not work

Describe the bug

When i open Bazaar for the 1st time, everything works well but when i close it and try to reopen it, nothing happens whatever how much time i'm waiting before trying to reopen it.
I have to kill the Bazaar process to make it work again.
Other Apps reopens well, the issue is just about Bazaar.

I've just installed Bazzite 3 days ago and i do not know if this is the reason or not but today the version of Bazzite has changed from 43.20260212 to 43.20260309.1

And then for Nvidia drivers from 590.XX.XX to 595.45.04

Looks like the same bug I reported previously has happened again. Looking at your specs, I'm assuming you're on the Nvidia open image?

Your're right, i'm on on the Nvidia open image.

Plus, i've noticed a strange artefact on Bazaar update apps page, looks to that screen-shoot below :

I think the artifacts are an Nvidia GTK issue, something that we cant really do anything about on our end.

I have no idea where to look for that startup issue though.

Based on the last time this happened, the common thread was that everyone was running the Nvidia-Open image, which makes me think it's an Nvidia driver issue somewhere. It resolved itself in 43.20260118 when the Nvidia driver went from 590.44.01-1 ➡️ 590.48.01-1, but it looks like we might've hit a regression from going into 595.45.04-1

I don't mind tossing a bug report at Nvidia, but I figure the Bazaar devs might be better equipped to identify exactly what's breaking to write a better bug report

Quitting Bazaar with Ctrl+Q instead of clicking the X in the menu bar works

Ya i agree and thanks for that detail, but it's just a work around not a fix... whatever i gonna try to switch to the Nvida stable image and post a feedback here if it works.

Yeah this is a problem for me too after switching to the newest Nvidia Driver. The Ctrl+Q is very nice, but we need a fix for it. I alos Have the dots glitch when I donload/update apps sometimes.

Bazaar 0.7.12 was pushed to Universal Blue's COPR repository and is available in Bazzite testing branch. If you can, please rebase to it by running command brh rebase testing and see if the issue persists. I'm not really sure if it was really with Bazaar itself but I want to make sure just in case.

(once done, rebase back to stable by running brh rebase stable)

UPD: It's now available in recent stable release, update and see if it persists.

I've tried the testing image with the command "brh rebase testing" 10 minutes ago and the issue is still here !
THEN
I've rollback and tried with the Bazzite Nvidia STABLE image (Nvidia drivers version is now 580.95.05) and the issue disappeared !!!

So, i do not know what to think, it seems to be a Driver issue on the OPEN image but i do not understand why that issue only affect Bazaar ? I mean, all the other Apps' windows work perfectly on the open image...

EDIT : I'm right now on the stable Nvidia image with Bazaar 0.7.12 and it works so i gonna do a last test : rebase on open version (not just a rollback) and see what is going on, then i'll write the result here.

Well...damn it was nearly that !!!

So, after re-basing to OPEN image, now Bazaar can be closed AND... REOPENED !!! BUT... just once (^_^) !
I mean when i'm closing a SECOND time, reopening do not work again.

To be sure, i've rebased on the STABLE image and tried to close and reopen SEVERAL times and it works perfectly.

So the issue is not really fixed on the OPEN image but it's on the right way !

PS : During my tests on the STABLE image, the white vertical dots appearing on the label "installed apps" (see my previous screen shoot), appeared just once and with the scroll action the artefacts disappeared, which is not the case with OPEN image, on the OPEN image the artefacts remain after scrolling.

No fix yet after 2 weeks? Bazaar still acts super weird on Bazzite.
