Compatibility with Quest 2 #50
Comments
@baffler can you add Quest 2 to the plugin |
Not going to happen. The "O" in "OVR" stands for "Open" and the last thing facebook wants their VR ecosystem to be is open, and there's no way to hook into their driver for this kind of access. |
If you mean a preset which crops the image to 1080p then add two last lines
to %OBS_INSTALL_LOCATION%\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\win-openvr\win-openvr-presets.ini I eyeballed "Quest 2" crop values to be comfortable with shooters primarily. Feel free to play with numbers as you like. Note: the default install location of OBS is C:\Program Files\obs-studio\ so opening win-openvr-presets.ini via Context menu -> Edit won't let you save your edits. Make sure to open Notepad (or any other editor) via Context menu -> Run as administrator and then File -> Open... -> win-openvr-presets.ini |
@snakecase Thank you, Seem's people fail to realize Quest 2 owners make up 70% of the SteamVR player base. That being said.. Many of us "Dirty Q2 users", use OcUless & Oculus Killer W/link so now the $300 Q2 is now basically a SteamVR aka OpenVR / XR only device now. Only way I can run Oculus games now is Revive. |
