Support for migration

Hi there! I was wondering if you'd be interested in adding support for migrations, specifically for migrating away from incarnator/takahe to something else, I think it would potentially help people with testing it, if they don't like they can also switch their account to another instance?

(I actually have an incarnator instance and was thinking to migrate to something else, by changing my whole username, instead of export/importing data into something like mastodon[1])

I guess it depends on what you mean by "migrations"? I don't know what the current Mastodon/AP story is like for moving between instances, but the last I knew it was mostly "download your posts and tell your old account to redirect to your new account" - has that changed in any meaningful way?

Or do you mean some sort of direct data migration where we dump out something that can be used to load directly into another server's database?

I don't remember exactly, but my understanding is that when you migrate from an instance to another the old instance needs to announce the migration, so that followers can update your handle

I just tried searching for this but couldn't find anything, I'll try again soon

I've upgraded an existing Takahe DB and am up-and-running with incarnator, the footer shows version 0.12.0. But I don't have migration actions in the setting menu.

I am not Django-literate, but it looks like I should be enabling a allow_migration setting … somewhere? Can someone point me in the right direction?
