Hi!
I wanted to inform the maintainers of this library that we have been maintaining a fork of this library (https://github.com/animo/mdoc) for a while.
We have recently proposed this fork to be moved to the OpenWallet Foundation, since there's several projects at OWF depending on this fork. The fork has diverged quite a lot since, especially with the latest PR introducing zod-based validation and encoding/decoding based on codecs (see openwallet-foundation-labs/mdoc-ts#133).
We saw the comment on the recent issue/PR recommending to fork the library due to lack of time/resources (#66 (comment)).
We hope that you see this a positive continuation of this library, but if you see any problems with us moving ahead with this project proposal to the OpenWallet Foundation, we would like to hear your feedback. We're also very interested to onboard you as maintainers of the library at OWF, so the effort of further development of the library can be shared.
You can read the proposal here, feel free to leave any comments on the proposal directly, or in the comments of this issue: openwallet-foundation/project-proposals#72
(you can also reach out to me based on my email linked on my github profile)
