Grails war build cache support

Hello,
I'm trying to get my Grails application war task to be cachable via the Gradle build cache.
I've enabled Gradle's incubating support for Groovy Incremental compilation.
But I'm noticing changes in the classes generated from the GSPs (views.properties also has a timestamp value in a comment which seems to be busting the cachability of the task).
Does anyone have any experience with getting this to work?

FYI: #14679 will make Grails builds fully cacheable. It's a rather significant change so it will only be available in Grails 7.
