Note that the Go standard library still lacks an implementation for quantizer. So libraries like gogif are still very much necessary to manipulate GIF images.

I tried several alternative libraries, but none of them are able to successfully convert between NRGBA and Paletted image types quite like yours.

If it becomes undeprecated, are there bug fixes or features you would like to see implemented?

I am content with the existing functionality :)

Just be sure to regularly scan against any CVE's with both Snyk CLI and with Dependabot.
