I use headunit revived on a stock popup screen that is connected to my phone or tablet via HDMI (using usb 3.1 switch). I use self mode.
So headunit revived is running effectively onthe Android Desktop session (secondary screen)
I start headunit revived from the secondary screen. But the application responds very inconsistent:
- sometimes the setings/start screen starts on the main screen, self mode also starts on main screen
- sometimes the settings/start screen starts on the secondary screen, android desktop starts on phone screen, or the other way around
- sometimes they both start on the secondary screen, which is what i personally want.
- if it starts on the right screen, sometimes the DPI is incorrect and/or mouse cursor is not aligned with the self mode screen. probably related to:
- dpi and resolution of secondary screen differs from main screen
- self mode initially starts windowed on the secondary screen, need to change it to fullscreen, i think this results in the mouse being misaligned with the projection
Behavior occurs on both a Samsung device with modern Dex but also in vanilla desktop mode on a Pixel.
I was wondering, it would be great if there was a setting that would force the Self Mode onto a secondary screen (directly fullscreen)
I understand this is a niche feature, but maybe an easy fix, not sure.
