Navigation stream on a virtual display?

Is it possible to stream a navigation app window to a virtual display? My car head unit uses a virtual display to display the information panel cluster (IPC) from the head unit to the dashboard. Currently, I have to take a screenshot of the head unit's screen and send it to the presentation virtual display to display on my car's IPC (information panel cluster).

good question. I don't guess, that this is possible.

OK. Can I bring out the whole stream? Then it will be possible to make a crop of the desired part.

Yes, but Android 5.1.1 don't have second screen activity bundle. Only presentation service with virtual display.
