1. Publication File Standard

This post holds information about publication file style guides. Unless otherwise stated as an exception below, use the tidyverse style guide.

1.1. General Formatting Principles

• 1.1.1. Publications should always be declared in the first row as [first author last name]_[publication year]. Add a, b, c, etc. if a previous pub_id already exists with that name. If so, the first publication that exists should be renamed with the a suffix.
• 1.1.2. The citation argument of Publication should be written entirely within the argument field, rather than as a separate object.
• 1.1.3. Chapters of books with editors should be treated as separate publications using incollection.

1.2. Citation Formatting

Citations are established with the RefManageR::BibEntry class. These standards apply to these sections of the publication file.

• 1.2.1. Do not use linebreaks to satisfy the style guide requirements for linewidths, e.g., long publication titles, journal names, etc., should exist entirely on one line even if they exceed 80 characters.'

1.3. Prediction Function Formatting

• 1.3.1. Order the covariates of the function in the order they appear in the publication. If using a table of, e.g., parameter estimates (as in ModelSet), attempt to preserve the order implied by the table.
