Is this module supported?

@alinemorelli hey I wanted to check in if this module is currently supported. I was planning to use it on a project because it is extremely popular on npm, >400K downloads per week... but nothing has been committed for a few years and there are a number of open PRs, issues, and forks.

If you're feeling too overwhelmed with other things to maintain this, I'd be happy to help. In general if I were to help, I'd want to hit up all the fork maintainers to merge in their features and try to get them onboard as co-maintainers. Many hands make light work.
