[Feature]: Distribute as kubectl plugin via krew #3
Comments
Hi @dirien would you be willing to do the work for it? What's required?
|
Hi @alexellis, yes can do! At the end, it will be adding the plugin-manifest add submitting initial to the krew repo. Later we can use the krew-release-bot to automate the process to update the krew-index |
Does it require different naming for the binaries? |
For me it looks fine, according the krew guidelines -> https://krew.sigs.k8s.io/docs/developer-guide/develop/naming-guide/ |
@dirien i would also like to work with you to make that plug-in possible |
I'm not sure that @dirien is working on this. Let's close the issue as inactive? |
@alexellis if you are working on something related to kubernetes go and docker i will love to contribute |
Hi @alexellis, I wanted to give you feedback, but some event interfered. The situation is, that Krew plugins must be packaged as .zip or .tar.gz archives.
Let me know, what you think |
If you'd like to contribute a PR to also distribute the binary in that format, I'm OK with that. |
Hi,
just wanted to preflight the idea to create
run-job
as kubectl plugin and distribute it viakrew
