Some of this (or maybe all of this) may already be there. But when I used the "hearing" filters in the PSKReporter section to select only FT8, only my Grid Square, and All Bands, I am getting the "no spots match those filters" message. I was expecting to see everything with that Grid Square being anywhere in the FT8 Message. So. perhaps it is still a work in progress. I will keep working with it - there is a lot to absorb. I am not seeing any place to select the the 'Time Window' or to deselect 'My Call Sign Only' in the PSKReporter filters. Seems like if I could deselect 'My Call Sign Only' my 'Idea' would be redundant with what is already implemented. PSK Filter Manager options: Joe Nelis |

Spoke too soon on this 'Idea". You developers are way ahead of me as far as features go. The PSKReporter Filtering should provide the ability to achieve the kind of dynamic display of live FT8 activity in and out of my Grid Square that I have described here. However, the PSKReporter Filters for "Time window — 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour" and "My callsign only — Toggle between showing only your reports or all traffic in view" are missing (as of 20FEB26). Bug #118 seems to broadly address this. I added an additional Comment to Bug #118 to note that these two PSKReporter Filter items are missing. Then I Closed this 'Idea" item since it has already been envisioned. Joe Nelis |

While I mostly use QRP CW, I have come to rely on my original HamClock display that shows all of the live FT8 QSOs Originating From or Coming Into just my Grid Square. My theory has been that if there is little to no FT8 being successfully used from my Grid Square on a band, then there is no hope for my CW to do anything on that band. Likewise, if there is little to no live FT8 QSOs being successfully used from my Grid Square going to/coming from some other continent, then there is no hope for my CW to be get to that continent. I have seen live FT8 communications just starting to get to some other continent on some band, and I have used that information to switch to that band and start looking for CW contacts there. That has been effective.
The present view of all of stations being spotted from all over the world that is being obtained from the DX Cluster has some value, just so much for me.
I suspect that it was the original HamClock server that fed that live FT8 communication data to my original HamClock. Perhaps those live FT8 QSOs were being obtained from PSKReporter and then filtered down to just those in and out of my Grid Square. If so, then that seems like it would be possible to implement in the openhamclock server to achieve the same kind of a display. And with the ability that you have provided to zoom in, it would show just the live FT8 QSOs within a country, That would be quite useful for directing my low band CW work.
Just an idea. I think that you folks who have created so much in this HamClock replacement in almost no time at all are really doing a terrific job. I lack the skills to do more than offer a suggestion. And perhaps submit bug reports (but I have not found any bugs yet).
