LiveDrive Terms of Service

Last updated: September 3, 2026

These Terms govern use of LiveDrive, an independent Windows 10 Mobile OneDrive client prototype. By using LiveDrive, you agree to these Terms.

Service scope

  • LiveDrive is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Microsoft.
  • LiveDrive provides a client interface to the user's own OneDrive account through Microsoft Graph.
  • Access to Microsoft accounts and OneDrive remains governed by the applicable Microsoft terms, privacy policies, account requirements, and tenant policies.

User responsibilities

  • You must use an account that you are authorized to access.
  • You are responsible for the files, folders, share links, and permissions you create or modify through LiveDrive.
  • You must comply with applicable laws, Microsoft service terms, and any organizational policies that apply to your account.
  • You should maintain independent backups of important data. LiveDrive is not a guaranteed backup service.

Manual camera upload

Camera Backup includes a manual, foreground upload queue and an optional scheduled Camera Roll scan. Scheduled checks are best effort and do not provide continuous or guaranteed background backup; Windows can delay, throttle, or cancel them. You are responsible for selecting media and confirming that uploads have completed.

Availability and limitations

  • LiveDrive is a prototype for Windows 10 Mobile version 1703 (build 15063) and later.
  • Features may be limited by device capabilities, network connectivity, Microsoft Graph availability, OneDrive account type, storage quota, or organization policy.
  • Some actions, including opening downloaded files and creating share links, depend on installed apps and OneDrive policy.

No warranty

LiveDrive is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the project contributors are not liable for data loss, interrupted access, unauthorized account use, or damages arising from use of the application.

Changes and contact

These Terms may be updated as LiveDrive changes. The current version is published in this repository. Questions can be submitted through the LiveDrive issue tracker.
