[Bug] Extremely slow file window after subsequent file openings

What's the issue you encountered?

When I first load up ImHex, and I load a file, the file opening window is snappy and responsive. But for some reason, every time after that where I open a file, it is very slow, taking several seconds to open directories and possibly several seconds more after that to load the files in the directory for me to load. I have not had this issue with any other apps I run, and I am running on a SSD, so file access should be quick.

How can the issue be reproduced?

1. Open ImHex
2. Open a file
3. Open another file
