[BUG] Error displaying categories / BIG VIDEO #9881

Check if there is any error in your avideo.log maybe an sql error |
While testing here, I decided to click on "Clear Cache Directory", and the categories started to display again. I also noticed that BIG Video is switching the displays now too. Could this really be the problem, or a coincidence? Why does this happen... isn't there an automatic cleaning script? Although it is a simple solution... isn't this a chronic problem? |
@DanielnetoDotCom Notice in the video that I reload the home page several times and the BIG VIDEO remains the same: CNETV.webmCNETV.webmThis is not a browser cache problem, as even when changing browsers the video displayed on BIG VIDEO is the same. The video/image is only replaced when "Clear Cache Directory" is done... Can you help us with this problem? |
The big video is not supposed to change on each reload. for performance reasons, there is a cache on it, and the video will only change when the cache expires |
@DanielnetoDotCom Ok, about BIGVIDEO... I understand the performance reasons, but this could be an admin option, the time it takes to change these images. Given that I can't create a carousel like we see in other systems. A carousel of videos would be more useful, optimizing the "Content promotion / Featured Content". A single video being promoted, if it is not of interest to the user, can cause a Bounce Rate. I must emphasize that there are 2 problems being addressed in this issue. The categories are not loaded completely, only the "Most Viewed" category. |

I've been having problems with the platform's home page for some time now.
1- BIG VIDEO often gets stuck on a video only after logging in, and after successive logins the image is the same. When the user LOGOFF the image changes, but when logging back in the image returns to the same as the previous login.
2- There is also a problem loading and displaying categories. Currently, it is only displaying the "Most Viewed" category.
I have several categories, as you can see in the image below:

I would like to understand what is happening, this is an important problem that needs to be solved. I have received complaints from users because they are unable to view all the videos available on the platform.
