hi there, as i said... and i cant stress enough how much i really don't understand code- development , forks , pull requests , git or any of the normal formalities you people may be used to here.. I've been playing with codex for about a week now and its all very confusing to me but amazingly , im able to actually make the stuff i want to happen , well happen...... I'm a tech-troglodyte if you will... but i was able to use codex to implement a couple of features that i think may be worth considering adding to the kemono downloader...

It seems that the app is currently setup to only download various files from the kemono post links... when i tested the app i wasn't getting any of the content text or links for the videos... The features ive added are there to scrape the content text , comments , and extract all video links... and place them into text files in the post folders.

I've built a separate program earlier this week as a companion app to go along with another github project called patreon dl gui. the problem i had with this program was that the built in downloader just cut out all the time and the ytdlp implementation seemed like a complete after thought. so i was unable to use it to actually download anything with the gui... The gui i built would scrape the file structure from the other app for embedded video text files... extract the links and download them with ytdlp . i was even able to implement fallbacks and fail safes along with various settings to allow the user to customise video quality download and rate limiting to prevent YouTube blocking...it includes buttons to download and update all the stuff it needs to run (ytdlp, ffmpeg, python etc...) and it contains its own chromium browser for the user to log in to youtube and extract cookies including when theres an error... im thinking of modifying the app at some point to include a vpn so that it will automatically switch ip location when youtube throws an error... so far though this app i built with codex seems to work amazingly well considering my skillset and time playing with it... first though im now going to modify it to scrape through the folder structure created by your app to achieve the same downloading capabilities...

my plan here was just to let you know about what I'm doing, with the hope that you may want to take some of these ideas and expand the functionality of your app? you are more than welcome to have the downloader i made as well if it would help... I've included a picture showing the additional check boxes that I've added and these are in both the post downloader and creator downloader.

edit... im also adding another screenshot which shows my mod to your app working... this is now doing what i need in order to use my other app to download these links automatically... as you can see with the new checkboxes checked - we get a post_content.txt file containing the content of the post (which sometimes has important information in it) , any extracted links - in this case the youtube link. and the comments (which can be turned off). i know this will be rudimentary for anyone on here... but i think this is amazing... i wish i had the knowhow to use the git system properly and create a proper fork...
